Knowing when to change jobs is an important life skill and there are a number of reasons why you should change jobs. Learn when it might be time.

If you’re feeling constantly stressed out at work, are uninspired, being mistreated, or a number of other reasons, it may be time to move on to the next opportunity.

Here’s a quick list of signs you should identify as reasons it might be time to find a new job.

  1. No Pay Increase

If you don’t get a pay increase something’s up with your manager. If no one gets a pay raise across the board your company could be having big problems. change

  1. Career ladder doesn’t go up

Have you climbed as high as you can go? If your company hires from the outside of the company for every position you might want to ask the question of why know one’s moving up. It might be time to fly away to another company. No professional growth.

  1. Passion has disappeared

You should wake up in the morning excited to go to work. Sure, when it’s 6:30 a.m. and your alarm goes off, “excitement” may not exactly be the emotion you’re feeling, but you should still be glad to do the work you do every day. If you’re not doing what you love, you’ll never tap into your true potential and be happy in life. It’s never too late to change careers or jobs to do what you truly love.

  1. Your stress levels are peaking

Having some stress at work allows you to grow if you are engaging into complex problems and learning new things. Difficult people can stress you out especially if they aren’t willing to make any changes. Stress should be a moment in time. If you find yourself constantly stressed out, that stress has to go somewhere? Will your health fall apart or will you lash out at someone?

  1. Bullied

Foul treatment and bullied at work. You spend a lot of time at work just to be treated with disrespect. Your paycheck at your current location isn’t worth it if you feel miserable all the time. If you are being bullied by a coworker without any disciplinary action you know the organization is out of control.

  1. Challenge

If employees aren’t challenged boredom will increase, boredom is a productivity killer. Will your most qualified employees jump ship for a better opportunity? If the feeling of a rewarding experience is gone, it could be time to start looking for a new experience.

If you have a mentor or someone you trust to give you some insight, ask questions about what you should. Best option is to find a new job and work with people who value your opinion. Stepping away from your current situations and working around people you like would be a great improvement.
